This listing is for a very nice vintage 1968 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 clone. This Mustang was restored a few years ago. Original California
C code V8 car currently registered with a clean title. This Mustang is in good running/driving condition with lots of new parts!!!
Paint is Ford Highland Green with Wimbledon White GT Lemans stripes. Body is straight no major rust. Paint is a couple years old has a nice shine, but it has some
blemishes. Many new replacement parts installed at time of restoration: Branda Shelby Fiberglass body kit, correct Shelby front grille, Shelby tail light
assemblies, New period correct Wheel Vintique Shelby 10 spoke alloy wheels 15x7 front and rear with BF Goodrich 215 70 15 tires, Lucas driving lamps, vinyl
top, Shelby flip down gas cap, front and rear bumpers, Shelby Cobra emblems and lettering, rocker moldings, window trim and headlight trim. Exterior lighting,
turn signals, brake lights all function properly.
The engine is a 289 cubic inch V8 runs good with no issues. The engine was rebuilt by previous owner. Engine does not smoke or boil over. Original Motorcraft
2V carburetor. Cobra aluminum oval finned air cleaner and matching finned valve covers, flex a lite fan, new water pump, Motorcraft 7mm wires, Duralast starter,
Duralast starter solenoid, duralast alternator, recent oil change and coolant flush. Exhaust is dual pipes with Cherry Bomb glasspack mufflers exiting the rear of
the car. Car has a very nice deep rumble. Transmission is a rebuilt C4 three speed automatic. Shifts good through all gears.
The interior has been redone with factory style seat upholstery, Grant woodgrain steering wheel carpet, door panels, dash pad, center console, kick panels, headliner,
Pony floor mats, package tray, heater core and speedometer cable. Heater works good, but this Mustang is not equipped with factory air conditioning. Gauges, horn,
wipers and interior lighting all function properly.
Brakes are drum up front and drum out back. Shoes and cylinders in the front and rear were replaced by previous owner. Suspension is all stock with coil springs
up front and leaf springs in the rear with an 8 inch rear end. Shocks replaced front and rear. Rear differential has been topped off. Trunk is clean no rust new trunk
mat with spare cover. This Mustang is equipped with factory power steering.
